We are so glad that our city is a place that draws students to study here from all over the UK and internationally.  The large combined populations of the University and College mean students play an important part in the life of our city.

All the churches in Chichester are committed to being part of a warm welcome to Chichester for you. You will find a broad menu of churches in the city to explore. Even if you would not describe yourself as a regular at church we would love to meet you. Why not come and try church and see what you find?

The churches’ involvement in supporting and welcoming students from all backgrounds dates back nearly 200 years with the founding of what is now the University of Chichester in 1839 by the then Anglican Bishop of Chichester, William Otter.

As part of our welcome some churches in the city run specific student programmes, events and activities that are on offer throughout the academic year.
